Onetwosix designed and built an educational display for the Government of Alberta’s FireSmart campaign, helping homeowners better understand the practical steps they can take to protect their properties from wildfire.
The Government of Alberta wanted an engaging and approachable way to communicate FireSmart principles to homeowners. Rather than relying only on printed information, the goal was to create a physical display that could clearly demonstrate how thoughtful planning, regular maintenance, and informed material choices can help reduce wildfire risks around a home. Onetwosix transformed this important safety information into an accessible visual experience. The display was designed to help visitors recognize potential hazards, understand how fire can move through a property, and identify preventative actions they can take before wildfire season begins. By presenting the information in a clear and memorable format, the display makes a complex topic easier to understand and encourages homeowners to take a more proactive approach to wildfire preparedness. It provides visitors with practical knowledge they can apply to their own properties, from maintaining the areas closest to a home to making more resilient landscaping and building choices. The result is an educational experience that supports the FireSmart campaign’s broader goal: helping Albertans better prepare their homes, properties, and communities for the growing risk of wildfire.
