A Giant Letter Built to Make a Big Impression
The Giant K project was created to bring a playful, highly visible feature to the K-Days experience. Designed as an oversized sculptural landmark, the letter gave visitors an eye-catching place to gather, take photos, and connect with the event’s identity. Creating a piece at this scale required more than simply making it large. The structure had to be stable, durable, easy to position, and adaptable to different areas of the event grounds. Onetwosix developed a custom base fitted with casters for mobility, allowing the installation to be moved when needed. Adjustable levelling feet were also incorporated to keep the piece secure and properly aligned once in place. The large foam components were carefully shaped and finished with a high-durability protective coating, giving the letter a clean, polished appearance while helping it withstand transportation, installation, weather, and ongoing interaction with event attendees. From concept development and fabrication through finishing and final installation, the Giant K combined creative design with practical engineering. The result was a memorable event feature built to attract attention, encourage interaction, and become a recognizable part of the K-Days environment.
